Lareira (It gets stepped on, burns and rises)

This piece is formally inspired by the vernacular architecture of Galicia, and in the hierarchy of the fireplace, within the configuration of the houses-dwelling. The importance of the fireplace as a kitchen but also as the house’s meeting point. For this reason, the piece is shaped like a smokestack in its metal structure with a wooden interior that rises vertically. On the back there are two brass plates, the same material as the meridian, representing fire.
