Silkscreen print with minium ink (red lead) and pine bark ink on cotton paper dyed with oak bark
90 x 63 cm — Edition of 6 variations with 2 copies each

In this series, two modes of fragmented representation are superimposed: on the one hand, there are these abstract forms of the vernacular sgraffiti of the Ribeira Sacra and, on the other hand, some drawings extracted from the artist’s sketchbook based on the Galician landscape and its nature.

These serigraphs use hand-made acrylic inks with minium —red lead— and pine bark printed on cotton paper that has been dyed with the bark of native trees, just as it was done with the old fishing nets in Galicia, when they were still made from natural fibres.
