Pongo mi pie desnudo en el umbral is a project with three layers: a short story written by the artist, the exhibition framework itself, and a collaboration with artist María Roja through a site-specific performance.

This exhibition is presented as a collection of fragmented and overlapping perspectives, based on a short story about the travel diaries of Dirse, a woman who made a pilgrimage from Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium) to A Guarda (Galicia, Spain) sometime between the 16th and 17th centuries, spending her final days on Mount Santa Trega, looking out over the mouth of the Miño River—the natural, aquatic threshold separating Galicia from Portugal.

The title—a verse by Galician poet José Ángel Valente—suggests a story that could be either ending or beginning, but a story that moves forward by walking, touching, and seeing. A spatial narrative about landscape, spirituality, ritual, architecture, and vernacular forms.
