Patinated plaster, wax, lacquer and bitumen
44 x 10 x 13 cm
Seteira is part of a series of works developed between Galicia and Belgium that analyze the architecture, color and landscape of both regions. These works are synthesized through a process that seeks formal asceticism and the poetic materiality of the patina.
This work has as its formal origin on the primitive loopholes appreciable in the hórreos (the Galician granaries) and that allow their ventilation. When this piece is layed down, the vertical characteristic of the loophole becomes a flat horizon contained between two volumes.
