The duel

Charcoal and oil on pinewood, steel and concrete

Two rough concrete casts from my own fists rest on two steel structures facing each other like chess pawns, linked horizontally by a trapezoidal pinewood crossbar resting on the ground. Through the polysemy of the term “duel”, this work could be understood as a battle between two opposing parties or as a meeting of two people to watch over a third one.
