Chamoso

Metasedimentary rock of the Atlantic coast on copper
12.5 x 8.5 cm
2021

A metasedimentary rock is one that shows evidence of having undergone a metamorphism, that is, a transformation without change of state in its structure, chemical or mineral composition after being subjected to temperature or pressure conditions different from those that originated it.

Chamoso is a piece made from the pulverization and subsequent caking on a copper plate of some samples of meta-sedimentary rocks that I collected during a Sunday in spring on the beach of the same name, near Cabanas (A Coruña).
